Jezzy Visits Baltimore

 Last Friday Young Jeezy visited DTLR at Security Mall in Baltimore, Maryland to re-launch his clothing line 8732. The store was packed with uber excited fans, he greeted fans, posed for pictures and even did some shopping for himself.  Visual artist Peekaso was in attendance, he painted a portrait of Jezzy and got the chance to show Jezzy his talent. Qream of the Crop

Jasmine of The Jasmine Brand host the Qream of the Crop: Washington Women Power Players on Tuesday Night at Aggain Restaurant in Washington, DC. The dinner was sponsored by Qream ( Pharell's Drink Line) to celebrate women in beauty, fashion, media and nightlife while indulging in on a drink created especially for women.

Guest in attendance were: Jummy Olabanji (ABC News), Charmyonne (representative of Vibe Vixen), Sunni (WPGC), Cat Bynum (Park at Fourteenth), Ashley Silva (IAmSuperGorge), Damelia Shaw (Destination DC), Meka Mathis (Owner of Skin Beauty Lounge), Yodit Gebreyes (Talk of DC) and Christine Brooks-Cropper (President of the Fashion Chamber of Commerce).

These power women got to enjoy a Qream presentation by Karim Lateef of Charmer-Sunbeltall, and a live portrait painting by Demont "Peekaso" Pinder. For take home treats guests received gift bags of a bottle of Nuvo, t-shirts, tickets to an upcoming Meek Mill concert, a Skin Beauty Lounge gift certificate and a safe-sex packet from Calvary Health Care.

Spread The Love

Last Wednesday I was invited to a private listening party for Pop Artist Chris (a Washington D.C. native) for her EP "Spread The Love". The listening party was held at Soblu Studios, a light dinner was served hosted by Soblu Music Group.  With this being my first time attending a pop artist listening party I was truly enthralled by not only the lyrics but the production of the EP. I met and spoke with the manager of Soblu Music Group (G. Baker worked with artists such as Raheem Devaughn & Brooke Hogan to name a few) and met some of the producers who's work I truly admire. As the music played from track to track I could not stop moving and that's the type of music I love. My favorite tracks are "Yea Ok", "Ask Me", and "LeZgo". The EP was released last Friday 11.11.11 as a FREE download. I love this EP and have not got tired of listening to it yet. #Winner

Last weekend during all of Howard's Homecoming festivities I stopped past Jin Lounge at a chic event "Manicure's and Martinis" to see what it was all about. I am always up for attending feminine events that gives the woman a chance to just be a woman. Manicures and Martinis was the perfect event for that, although it was open to men and woman the women were very eager to try new nail colors and the new it thing "Gel Polish". I spoke with the organizer of the event and Owner of Nails L.A. Style Patricia Patton about how she started in the nail industry, what her nitch is, how she came up with the name "Manicures and Martinis" and just some good ol' girl talk. Tyga Gives Back

This past Saturday Tyga of Young Money, Cash Money stopped by the Kennedy Recreation Center in Washington, DC to speak with the youth about their dreams, goals and aspirations. R.O.A.R which is Tyga's empowerment campaign that is focused on giving back to the community. This visit brought bout a surprise when Tyga gave away 15 tickets to the F.A.M.E. concert. There were three guest speakers that were in attendance April L. Vance White House Liaison- Executive Office of the US President, President and Founder – Advance Project), Dr. Bilal Beckles DDS, MS- owner of Essence Dental Care, Woodrow Dental Specialist and Smiles Pediatric Dentistry and Victor T. Sanders CEO of Palmieri Jeans.The guest speakers motivated the youth and helped them to realize that their dreams can one day be a reality.

Amber Mimz Live at the Apple Store

This weekend I visited the Apple Store to see Amber Mimz " iAM AnUrban Romantic" perform live (I told y'all I would get out and check the weather) and what a great show it was. The outfit that she wore had me gagging with excitement, the adornment headpiece, frilly mini skirt and the ribbon bowed white pumps were to die for. I love her style.....its so eccentric and eclectic! She serenaded a male audience member and got the crowd engaged,

There was a dope artist in attendace(i forgot his name but I will get back to you on that) that created a portrait of Amber on the ipad, when I say dope, that's what I mean. Lots of fun music lovers, bloggers and other artist were there to support Mz. Urban Romantic.

Recap:Sminoff Presents the Winners Tour

The Winners Tour: The Master of the Mix Winner DJ Scratch

This event was a weekend long event beginning on Friday at Layla Lounge and on Saturday they took it to The Warehouse in the heart of Washington, DC. "The Winners Tour" brought great DJ's out this weekend from the Centric Networks Reality TV Show "Master of the Mix" winner DJ Scratch and the well know DJ Blaze. On Friday Night DJ Scratch pulled some tricks out sleeve (literally) by scratching with his elbow, that's sure to get the crowd jumping.

Saturday was the main event these DJ's spinned music from artist like Biggie, Jay-Z, those two artist alone can get a party started. DJ Scratch and DJ Blaze were sure to keep the crowd moving until the lights came on.
