Beyonce Performing Live at Revel

Memorial Day Weekend in Atlantic City will never be the same, as the greatest performer alive (my sister in my head) Beyonce sold out four nights of shows at the Revel Resorts. Saddened by my inability to attend, I pretty much kept my ears and eyes open to what was going on with the concert nightly. Here are some pictures from her performances. Enjoy!

Reesa Renee Wins at the Historic APOLLO

Determination to succeed is an understatement for this artist as she traveled to the Historic Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York. Reesa Renee traveled to the Apollo Theater to perform in the Amateur Night Show, she performed an original song entitled "Get Me Loose" (which has a jazz beat to it) and she won first place. Winning first place was a surreal experience for the artist but also the first time in three years that artist has performed an original song and won. This is certainly a monumental moment for the artist and also for her supporters in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area. As winner of Amateur Night she has been invited to come back for a chance to win $10,000. To learn more and to donate to her traveling back to Harlem visit her website ReesaRenee

Amber Mimz Live at the Apple Store

This weekend I visited the Apple Store to see Amber Mimz " iAM AnUrban Romantic" perform live (I told y'all I would get out and check the weather) and what a great show it was. The outfit that she wore had me gagging with excitement, the adornment headpiece, frilly mini skirt and the ribbon bowed white pumps were to die for. I love her style.....its so eccentric and eclectic! She serenaded a male audience member and got the crowd engaged,

There was a dope artist in attendace(i forgot his name but I will get back to you on that) that created a portrait of Amber on the ipad, when I say dope, that's what I mean. Lots of fun music lovers, bloggers and other artist were there to support Mz. Urban Romantic.

Elle: Women In Music

Solange Knowles better put on a show, but what I'm most intrigued about is her fashion. She has truly evolved from a fashion icon who is chic, classic and trendy to a the whole other end of the spectrum. She takes risk and she is still very trendy but in a more bohemian chic, hippy, tribal princess kinda way. I dig Solo I dig! Live life like nobody is watching! In other words DO YOU!!

Long Nights and Early Mornings

Last Monday Marsha Ambrosius was in Washington DC at the Direct Drive Pool Listening Party at U Street Music Hall to release some of her music off of her new Album Long Nights and Early Mornings. Her album drops today, and I am too excited to get it, her voice is unlike no other, I do miss Floetry though. I'm looking forward to seeing where this album takes her.
