Making of BEYONCE: The Visual Album Part 2 (Imperfections)

Making of BEYONCE: The Visual Album

A BOSS IS...........

Totally caught by surprise but the Queen of R&B Beyonce released a self titled visual album Beyonce last night exclusively on iTunes.

In my eyes this woman can do no wrong. She is an innovator and hard working artist who inspires me beyond belief. I most definitely had to buy this album.

The album has 14 songs and 17 videos. I am a visual learner and doer so I most definitely appreciate her accompanying all her songs with the video at one time. Genius.

My favorite songs:
1. Pretty Hurts
2. Drunk In Love
3. Flawless
4. Mine
5. Blue

I love the entire album but I just decided to go with my top 5.

Incredible work!

Video Love

Tamar Braxton "All The Way Home"

I love the concept and the fact that she was realistic with her plot. I know in the entertainment industry it is desirable to create the fantasy and present eye candy but sometimes presenting a real life situation draws in fans to a new perspective. In the words of Tamar "Getcho life".

This Is...

First off this image is giving me life, it's the album cover for Soul/R&B artist, Reesa Renee who  will be releasing her first album entitled "Reelease" on August 28th, (8/28). This album is a much anticipated album for the artist hence the album title. I am so excited and can't wait to hear it, I will be purchasing this albuming and sharing my views with you all. Reesa Renee's music always gets me in the best of moods, she is an artist after my own heart.

I shared on twitter about two weeks ago that I was road tripping with my beau listening to Reesa Renee. Didn't care about the traffic anymore I was just in the happiest of moods. My excitement for this artist and her music is evident,  if you haven't heard of her or her music I encourage you to familiarize yourself. To learn more and to listen for yourself, visit her website REESARENEE.com

My Music Is..... with Ronnell Brian

My Music is....
My Therapy.... but hopefully therapy to my fans too (LOL)

• Explain what your music is?
I think my music is fresh and relative to my age group. But also to the older and younger generations of music lovers. I try to make my music timeless so no matter how old it gets, the situations that I'm writing and singing about can still inspire, encourage, and pull the people in that hears it.

• What genre of MUSIC can’t you live without?
I just love all types of music but one genre that I just couldn't live without is gospel. I mean eventhough its not my preference to sing, its the most uplifting music I can think of. It centers my thoughts and emotions when the world tries to overtake me. It brings me back to where I need to be.

• How BIG is MUSIC in your life?
Music is Larger than life to me. When you think about it, music influences everything around us. Its used in commercials to sale something, its used in church to heal someone, they say that certian music can even mentally, and physically heal you better then some medicines. I couldn't even begin to imagine the world without it. It would be dry, boring and unentertaining...lol... Oh yea and clubs would be shut down! And we all like to party every now and then... lol

• What inspires your MUSIC?
For me I try to make my music as real as possible. What other way to make it believable then taking my own situations and experiences and putting a beat behind them. Relationships, friendships, goals, and my personal desires all contribute to the making of a song from RonnellBrian. When ever you hear something from me 9 times out of 10 I'm tellin my own business. (LOL)... My own story. Truth is always more interesting then fiction to me.

• Who has influenced you MUSICALLY?
GOD is my absolute most major influence when it comes to doin this. I mean I recognize that my reason for even having this talent is because he chose me out of all his creations to bless with it.

• What are some words you live by (Style or Life)?
Aww man, I have so many quotes and sayings that I live by... Twitter gets the best of me because every thing that I come up with its like second nature to post a tweet saying it... One of my favorites is "Be not weary in well doing, for in due season you will reap a harvest if you faint not" To me thinking positive and not giving up and remaining consistent is a lifestyle for me. I just want my fans to get the best of me and that means I have to live by what I say and do.

• If it wasn’t for MUSIC what would you be doing right now?
LOL... Never took the time to think about that one. I guess I would be some type of motivational speaker.. its my second passion to help people. and to motivate them. I find myself doing that for free so why not get paid for it right? lol

• Who would you like to work with in the MUSIC industry?
Hummm... I have a lot of influences and love all types of artist but I just absolutley love Brandy's talent. I mean as an artist she's everything that I feel you should be vocally, tone and pitch wise. I would love to work with her! Just to even gain the wisdom that I'm sure she has gained over a long career in this industry would be enough for me!

• Where can you MUSIC be found?
Well currently I'm working on a website that will give snippets and updates on performances and new songs but I can be found on Youtube and Facebook and Twitter too. They're free and it gets the job done... LOL but also I am looking to release my first mix tape of originals and covers by August of this summer. I'll keep you posted (Smiles)

• What mark will you leave on the MUSIC Industry?
The mark I want to leave on the music world and for people who want to pursue something that doesn't seem acheivable is to NEVER take "NO" for an answer. I feel like for every 100 "NO's" you get from life you'll always get atleast 1 "Yes" a keep going till u get to that 1 "yes" youve been waiting for.

Future Endeavors?
This has been a passion of mine since forever. Today is my future from yesterday... I just take everyday that I have and make it greater and better to bring me one step closer to tomorrow. Whatever that is... as long as music is there, I'm going!

Rest In Paradise

Today marks the 10th year since we lost a beautiful soul and music icon Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes. Growing up whenever my friends & I mimicked TLC I was always "Left Eye" by choice. Her uniqueness spoke to me at a young age to live life in color and to have fun. It was always so refreshing to see what outfit she would come up with next. A young soul gone to soon, may her soul rest in peace.

My Music Is...

Chevy B. Fresh
My Music Is.....
Uplifting and a breathe of fresh air. LOL I mean coming from where I come from (Capital Heights, MD) If u ain't super thuggin, its really easy to get looked over. Being where I been and seeing what I've seen my music hits both ends of the spectrum. I can speak on everything from crime to studying in a dorm room. Honestly feel like the motivation and passion in my lyrics will spark the mind of a listener, who will do big things in this world!

Explain what your MUSIC Is......?
My music is Big Daddy Kane (pause no homo LOL) Tupac, Jay -Z, and a fly dude name Fresh rapped in one! LOL I love showing my different sides and showing my versatility, whether its wordplay, painting a visual, being da ladies man, or lyrically attacking the beat.

What genre of MUSIC can’t you live without?
I would have to say none! Cause they all influence me a lot!!!..recently I have a love for country. Its so real to me, no offense but it reminds me of a white mans blues (not to say that white people don’t enjoy blues, and African Americans don’t enjoy Country) Gospel as well, I wanna make music that moves the soul like that one day…to name a few.

How BIG is MUSIC in your life?
MAANNNNN!!!! I walk with a beat, in my bop, in my beef and brocs LOL! Music is huge to me, one of the ultimate forms of expression. You can do so much with words its almost surreal just being a fan of music and really seeing angles which artist use to deliver a message.

What inspires your MUSIC?
My moms passing at 17, my father and other family members in Jamaica, my brothers, sisters, close friends relatives who are my biggest fans, the new fans I have acquired, old basketball coaches, mentors, idols.I just want to say look at me, I made it!. To take it deeper, the poor man! Smh I wanna help and give back so much.. Wise man once said “how can I help the poor if I'm one of them, I got rich and gave BACK! To me that’s the win win!” and I concur. Chevy B. Fresh

Who has influenced you MUSICALLY?
My brother Cosley Pinnock…this guy has been my biggest fan since day one! No matter what I said I wanted to do, he never doubted me. Initially I was suppose to be in the NBA by now lol or so I was told. Playing Ball at a small time D3 school (Frostburg State University) that idea went dim real quick lol but from ball player to rapper he always had my back. As well as my closest friends (LCD) And my hood (Bon-A-View 6500) Addison road shit lol salute!
What are some words you live by (Style or Life)?
Easy LOVE.LIVE.FRESH. That means so many things, give love and get it BACK! Live a little, don’t let anyone slow up your dream cause let them tell it, I was suppose to be locked up like my father, or a dead beat dad. I'm neither.(cant wait to be a dad tho lol)

If it wasn’t for MUSIC what would you be doing right now?
If it wasn’t for music I would either be over seas crossing the shit outta dem boys on the court lol!!uhhhhhhhh or serving in the community someway some how.. I still have dreams of opening a rec. center.
What mark will you leave on the MUSIC Industry?
My mark on music will be a stain that you cant wipe off!! I PROMISE. ….I feel like I will be the strength for the hopeless, and weak as well as the motivation for the already driven. I will bring the industry, style, SCHWAGGG LOL, a great array of lyrics, and CONTENT…THE GAME IS MISSING CONTENT. I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY!

Who would you like to work with in the MUSIC industry?
Great question, I wanna work with a lot of people! To name a few R.Kelly Bruno Mars, Usher, Adele, Nicki (Just so I know its real lol) MMG, DRIZZY, YEEZY, HOV, J Cole, Kendrick, Diddy (tryna have a dance off n shit lol) Ziggy Marley, Vybz Kartel and many more! its really too many..we can go on forever.

Where can your MUSIC be found?

Spread The Love

Last Wednesday I was invited to a private listening party for Pop Artist Chris (a Washington D.C. native) for her EP "Spread The Love". The listening party was held at Soblu Studios, a light dinner was served hosted by Soblu Music Group.  With this being my first time attending a pop artist listening party I was truly enthralled by not only the lyrics but the production of the EP. I met and spoke with the manager of Soblu Music Group (G. Baker worked with artists such as Raheem Devaughn & Brooke Hogan to name a few) and met some of the producers who's work I truly admire. As the music played from track to track I could not stop moving and that's the type of music I love. My favorite tracks are "Yea Ok", "Ask Me", and "LeZgo". The EP was released last Friday 11.11.11 as a FREE download. I love this EP and have not got tired of listening to it yet. #Winner

Happy Ambition Day...Today is a great day for music! DC's own Wale dropped his second album "Ambition" today 11.1.11, he built up quite the anticipation for this album with his recent sign to Maybach Music Group. So much love was shown throughtout the DMV and across the world for this album. Wale has truly grown as an artist and it is evident that he makes music that not only natives of DC, Maryland and Virginia can appreciate but for everyone. In the spirit of love for his fans, Wale stopped by the DTLR at the Boulevard, in Largo, Maryland to sign CD's to show his appreciation.
