Dana, Tamika and Sarea-Flo
About two weeks ago DC Lady Bloggers hosted their second event in the U Street Corridor of Washington, DC. The DC Lady Bloggers is made up by Dana James of skinnygirlsliketoeattoo.wordpress.com, Tamika Wilkins of mydesignersdreams.blogspot.com and myself Sarea-Flo of sareais.blogspot.com. This event "The Artist Hour" highlighted artist who we felt exemplified the type of art that we love and support. On Thursday August 23rd at Tabaq Bistro artist came with their work to be displayed and bought, Antwanyce " The RichAnt" Richardson (www.therichant.com) a visual artist displayed visual portraits of woman as animal like creatures, colorful landscapes, wall fixtures, and art jewelry. Defy DC (www.defydc.com) whose unique t-shirt designs engaged our guest with an inspired tee by DC Lady Blogger Tamika. Accessories could not be left out from this event, Doll Circa 1930 (www.provided handcrafted, custom earrings that brought bright colors, unique design and a hint of vintage.
Since the event was doing "Happy Hour" we thought that a signature drink would be a cute addition to the event. Dana's speciality drink was Skinny Girls Like To Drink Too (vodka and lime juice), Tamika's was My Designer's Dream (tequila and grenadine) and my drink was Sarea's Flow (Sweet Red Sangria). Along with the drinks guest got to enjoy happy hour appetizers such as calamari, lamb kabobs, grilled shrimp, with a full list of Delicious bites.
