April 4th

On this day 43 years ago Martin Luther King was assassinated but he said this so well:

"And I've looked over, and I've seen the promised land. I may not get there with you, but I want you to know tonight that we as a people will get to the promised land. So I'm happy tonight. I'm not worried about anything. I'm not fearing any man."

May his soul continue to rest peacefully for he has given so much to the African American race.

Happy 3rd year anniversary (to my brother and sister in my head)

Adorable

I so admire and adore this public display of affection, although they are not physically touching one another this picture speaks a thousand words. They put on no matter what, and not just because they are entertainers but because they could care less what people think. That's right live life golden! I dig!!

The BP3 Tour

The much anticipated
BP3 Tour is in the District(Washington, D.C.) tonight at the Verizon Center. Trey Songz serenades the ladies and Young Jeezy keeps the crowd hyped as they prepare the stage for the Jigga man (Jay-Z, also my brother -in-law in my head) as he is the headliner. I am sure it was well worth the anticipation.

The street team from my church Community of Hope was down at the Verizon Center passing out hand bills so that you might visit us on Sunday Mornings at 10 a.m or Sundays at Noon.

Wale talks about that thing

When I think about good, fun music Wale comes to mind, the more I watch him the more I become interested in the person that he is. Wale appeared on "The Monique Show" last night on BET. He sat on the couch and talked about his experiences, going from a college football player at Virginia state. To leaving college to pursue his music career, when he meets Jay-Z and Mr. Carter takes him under his wing. He then elaborates on that thing, known to all of us as the four letter word LOVE. He also talks about it in HONEYMAG http://http//www.honeymag.com/2010/uncategorized/go-go-answer-wale/, this article gives you a look into how educated he is and how in touch with words he can be.
Rappers in a sense are like poets, they know how to manipulate words and in a conscience way.In the article in HONEYMAG you will see just that, it speaks truths.Wale is shining a light on the DMV(D.C., Maryland, and Virginia) and representing it very well. I am proud that he is from the area, and glad to see a young black man doing good, with something that he loves. Get into it ladies, let me know what you think.

If you have not yet to get this CD you are missing out
