My Hair Is......

Meet Dominique Grant born and raised in Brooklyn New York but now residing in Connecticut. I'm a Personal Care Assistant who loves music, cooking, reading, & vlogging.

My Hair Is.... (natural/relaxed)?
My hair is natural and fabulousWhat does your hair mean to you?
It's my personality and style. Since I went natural my confidence has went through the roof. Wouldn't change it for the world.

How long have you been natural/relaxed?
I've been natural for 1 year and 9 months.

What are your favorite styles to wear?
Two strand twist/twist outs, two strand flat twist and Fro hawk.

How do you take care of your hair? (stylist)
I do not have a stylist, when I went natural I decided that I needed to learn how to do own my hair (saves money but can also show what kind of potential you have to understand your hair). I can't do extensions myself, box braids, kinky twists & Senegalese twist I leave to the professionals.

What's your hair care regimen?
My hair regimen is to detangle/pre-poo (Queen Helene cholesterol with added oils) and co-wash every week or week and a half ( Tresseme Flawless Curls Hydration). Shampoo with Creme Of Nature Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo when necessary (depends on what kind of styler I used the week before). Deep conditioning (Africa's Best Tea Tree Cholesterol) every week is a must !!! Twice a week I do the baggy method and scalp massages (castor oil with rosemary leaves). I always make sure to seal in the moisture (leave-in condition water based, oil, and cream) then I style my hair (Miss Jessie's, Shea Moisture, or Dr.Miracles)

 Do you have style inspirations?
Definitely, a lot!!! Teyana Taylor, Tracee Ellis Ross, Rachel True, Solange Knowles, Cree Summer, Leela James, and Corraine Bailey Rae.

 Who is your hairstyle crush?
Omg! Tracee Ellis Ross and Solange Knowles

 What's your staple product?
I must have Castor Oil and Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie.

 What's your go to style?
I do twist outs forever and a day. Lol!

 What is your style mantra?
Fearless, confident, authentic, funky and carefree.

 What is your life mantra?
Dare be different because everyone else is trying to blend in. Laugh a lot, work hard and love harder because tomorrow is never promised.

I'm dying to use these

I'm looking forward to using all of these products one day, the next product on my list is Shea Moisture. Jane Carter, Carol's Daughter and Organix are neck and neck for what I will use after I try Shea Moisture, but we shall see. Kinky Curl is definitely last on my list just because I have to find out more about it. I am like a kid in a candy store, I am super excited to try these products, thee only product line I am thinking about using in its entirety is Jane Carter's just to maintain moisture and treat my scalp. I guess I'll decide that when I get there.
