Inspiration Is......

I just recently moved and have been looking for new and exciting ways to create the perfect humble abode. My home is my safe oasis where I create many things such as delicious recipes, blogging ideas, videos and more. I love coming home to feel at ease from a busy work day and the hectic hustle of evening rush hour traffic. Here are a few of my favorite inspirations for a dining room. I will pick soon which colors I decided to go with and sharer decorating journey with you as well.

Oprah's Farewell

Yesterday on ABC was the final hour of the "Oprah Winfrey Show" that brought on a lot of emotions from viewers all across the world that tuned in everyday at 4:00 p.m. Oprah has shared a vast amount of herself with the world, from giving to the victims of Hurricane Katrina, to opening up about her past rape experience, or helping a family get a more accessible home for the handicap mother. She has been an inspiration, a shoulder to cry on, an open book, we all will miss her immensely.

Here are some inspirational words she shared on her farewell show:

"Nobody but you is responsible for your life. You are responsible for your life. What is your life? What is all life? What is every flower, every rock, every tree? Energy. And you're responsible for the energy you create for yourself, and you're responsible for the energy that you bring to others."

"You also have to know what sparks the light in you so that you in your own way can illuminate the world. You have the power to change somebody's life."

This is what she said right before she walked off the stage:

I thank you for sharing this yellow brick road of blessings...I thank you for being as much of a sweet inspiration for me as I've tried to be for you. I won't say goodbye. I'll just say, until we meet again. To God be the glory."
