SF: Are all of you from this area?

GLU: We are from Washington DC and PG County

SF: Let’s talk about what’s going on right now?

GLU: We are having our weekly meeting, we’re just sitting here brainstorming, discussing updates, future plans for our next line.

SF: Great! So let’s discuss the new line?

GLU: Our next Line is being finalized, it will be the women cut apparel, we haven’t forgot about the ladies (y’all know I was going ask about the women’s line (laughs) discussing our cut always as well). This year was the start of our freshmen year, it began in January 2011, our second semester will be the official women cut shirts, making our clothing company (co-ed)now. After the second semester we will transition into summer school so on and so forth.

SF: Are all of your clothing is unisex correct?
GLU: All the clothes are unisex.

SF: Explain the concept behind your clothing line it is quite creative?
GLU: It’s simple; we are all best friends, GLU which stands for (G)et (L)ike (U)s. We are were always doing so much so fast, that we decided to capture those moments, and we started posting web feeds on YouTube, Facebook and Vimeo. We are known as the life of the party, always very fashionable, exclusive and creative; we thought we could do the same thing as all the designers we wear are doing. Seven heads are better than one, with that said we discussed having our own clothing line and, so we brainstormed about it and now you have Good Life University. SF: How do you see your clothing line rising? GLU: We definitely want to crawl before we walk, but eventually we want to start designing and adding shoes, jeans and shirts. The sky is the limit, we want to be a house hold name in every aspect of fashion.

SF: Did all of your Study Fashion?

GLU: We All studied fashion; we would walk outside and turn heads because of the exclusive clothing we would wear. You can’t get most of the stuff we wear in stores locally, you either have to go online, go to a skate shop or travel to Cali. There’s a phrase that we like to use it goes as “we jumped off the porch” into our fashion designing. We like to study male shoes from the likes of these designers Tinker Hatfield, Marc Jacobs, Mieko (Bape), Alexander McQueen (Puma), Yohji Yamamoto (World Known Shoe Designer), and Nike (SB) SF: DO you have a Fashion Read? GLU: Internet blogging (not necessary magazine) Clothing companies (johnny cupcakes, Bape)

SF: what are your Fashion must haves?
GLU:
Antaeus: Good Life T-shirt and my Nike SB-Pee Wee Hermans

Tim: Fitted Hat, fresh sneakers and a Good Life Tee

Mike: Fresh pair of Nike Air Max 95’s, and I would accessorize with a Good Wood chain

Timmy: A Pair Nike Foamposites(Royal Blue) and a Good Life Crewneck

Dante: Black Air Jordan 3’s, slim fit jeans from The Hundreds, and a Good Life Tee

Delyet: Good Life Space Guy Crewneck, and my black Jordan 13’s
SF: Who are some of your Favorite designers or Fashion Influencers? GLU: We all have the same taste in clothing our favorite designers are Johnny Cupcakes, Bape, Bobby Fresh, and The Hundreds.

SF: Where do you get your Inspiration from?
GLU: It comes from Life, if you look good you feel good “we are not just selling clothing we are selling our lifestyle” each piece is taking from our daily routine. Ideas can come from many random Saturday nights and is implemented in our weekly meetings.

SF: Who’s your Favorite Model? Amber Rose, Esther Baxter, Eva Marcelle Pigford,

SF: Is there a Store coming soon or do you already have one open in the area? GLU: We don’t want to be boxed in; we aren’t going to limit ourselves to just being nationwide, we’re going to take this as high as we can, sky’s the limit. We want to be home based but we want to go beyond some of our previous competitors from this area. So in the near future we plan to open a store, no matter where it is here in DC or ATL or another country.

SF: How can customers purchase your clothing?

SF: Who is this line geared towards?

GLU: Our line is not geared towards anyone specifically it’s for anyone who wants to live the good life. But if we had to choose who the line was geared towards it would be for the backpacker, someone who likes exclusive clothing, a skater, or a hipster.
