SF:You are a mother of how many children?
SC:Biologically, ONE, emotionally, HUNDREDS (shout out to all my babies)
SF:What has been your biggest sacrifice?
SC:Not finishing my college education because I got married and had a child so young. Hopefully I will get the chance to go back and finish.
SF:What joys have you experienced?
SF:What joys have you experienced?
SC:Besides childbirth and getting married? Watching my son grow into the talented humble artist that since the age of 14 we knew he could. Experiencing true love and getting it back from my hubby of almost 24 years. Owning 2 homes in my lifetime (so far) Having a close relationship with most of my family and several friends.
SF:How do you like to spend your mother's day?
SF:How do you like to spend your mother's day?
SC:Watching a comedy on TV or going to the movies with my family. Going out to dinner. I don’t need a lot to make me happy. It’s the simple things in life that mean the most.
SF:Name the best mother's day gift that you have received? (Big or small)
SF:Name the best mother's day gift that you have received? (Big or small)
SC:I have two - Breakfast in bed made by my wonderful hubby Maurice Sr and my son Maurice Jr. It consisted of lacey eggs (you know when you overcook an egg and gets lace around the edges) Burnt toast and extra crispy bacon. And this was RECENT!! I loved it though. The other my husband bought me a computer for mother’s day. Cried like a baby.
SF:Explain that special(something) about your mother?
SF:Explain that special(something) about your mother?
SC:Wow…my mom is my rock. She is a large part of the reason I am who I am today. She would give the shirt off her back in a heartbeat. She is such a giving woman.
SF:How important are mother's in a child(ren) lives?
SF:How important are mother's in a child(ren) lives?
SC:Mother’s are absolutely essential. I think a mother can teach female children how to conduct herself with pride and confidence, and she can teach male children how to properly treat a young lady (whether she deserves it or not)
SF:Can you give some advice to young mother's? (single or married)
SF:Can you give some advice to young mother's? (single or married)
SC:Wow – I try not to give advice because what works for one may ONLY work for one. But I would say, be patient. With the child AND the husband/baby daddy. I really wish there were more women who took time to really look out for the best interest of their child. They have children while they are still mentally children and want to party all the time. I also wish more men would stop being sperm donors and take monetary as well as physical responsibility for their kids. I watch several of my “sons” take wonderful care of their kids and it makes my heart sing. One day I will be a grandmother and I pray we instilled great values in our son to be able to step up.
