Community of Hope A.M.E Church opened it's doors to the community on Monday night when they hosted a Haiti Relief Benefit Concert. Rev. Tony Lee the pastor of this church(which I am a member of) partnered with WPGC 95.5 to help make this event a great success. Flexx and Rain were in the building to talk about the devastation in Haiti, also to give an update of what was currently going on.
All the bands did a great job, not only did they engage the audience but songs were dedicated to the victims in Haiti. Their was also spoken word by the artist iWrite, her poetry piece was awesome. PG County Police and The Nation of Islam made sure to keep the peace and every person safe. Community of Hope A.M.E raised over $4000 and had 400 people in attendance, all proceeds will go to helping our brothers and sisters in Haiti.
People please continue to donate to Haiti, they are in dyer need of our help. It is our duty to be that helping hand. It is cliche to continue to hear "if it was you would you want someone to help you" so just go out and do whatever you can. Events are being held everywhere all over the world. So go out and help. Be a blessing to someone else so that God can be a blessing to you.
God your will be done....Please bless and protect everyone in Haiti...Amen
